Who we are
This policy explains what data Turbo Pixel's mobile games collect, why, and who receives it. It applies to every mobile game published under the Turbo Pixel name.
Turbo Pixel is a brand of Ramen Games LLC, 2093 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703-2424, United States, which is the data controller. "We" and "us" mean that company. You can reach us at turbopixelstudio@gmail.com.
Our games have no accounts. We don't ask for your name, email or any other contact details.
What we collect
Our games collect five kinds of data automatically while you play. We don't collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location. We never handle payment details.
| Data | What it includes | Who receives it |
|---|---|---|
| Device or other IDs | Your Android advertising ID, and IDs created for this install of the game, such as the Firebase installation ID and a random GameAnalytics ID | Google, GameAnalytics, Meta |
| Approximate location | Country, region and city, worked out from your IP address | Google, GameAnalytics |
| App interactions | Sessions, time played, progress through the game, goals, upgrades, in-game coins earned and spent, and tutorial steps | GameAnalytics. Google and Meta get less: see below |
| Crash logs | Error details and the game's state when it crashes or hits an error | Google, GameAnalytics, and Meta for crashes its own SDK causes |
| Diagnostics | Device model, operating system, app version, language and time zone | Google, GameAnalytics |
Google receives sessions and screen views, not the game events listed above. Meta receives installs, app launches, screen titles and samples of how screens are laid out.
Your IP address reaches these providers whenever the game connects to them. GameAnalytics uses it to work out your approximate location, then keeps only a shortened version for up to 30 days.
What we use it for
We use this data to understand how our games are played, fix problems and measure our marketing. Our games don't show ads today.
- Analytics: see where players get stuck, which levels and upgrades work, and when people stop playing.
- Fixing problems: find and fix crashes and errors.
- Game settings: adjust a game's balance without an update, using your country, language and device version.
- Advertising and marketing: measure whether ads for our games lead to installs, and reach people who may like them.
Who receives it
Three providers receive this data. Google and GameAnalytics mainly process it for us. Meta also uses it for its own purposes.
| Company | What it does for us | Its role | Its privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) | Usage statistics, crash reports and remote game settings | Processor for Firebase. Google Analytics runs under separate terms | Firebase, Google |
| GameAnalytics (GameAnalytics ApS, Denmark, and GameAnalytics Limited, England and Wales) | Game statistics | Processor | GameAnalytics |
| Meta (Facebook SDK) | Ad measurement and ad audiences | Processor for measurement. Joint or independent controller for audiences, ad delivery and its own products | Meta |
We may share app information with third parties, including Meta. They use it for measurement, targeting and ad delivery. Your choices explains how to opt out.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to a new owner if a game or the company is sold.
Your choices
Our games collect this data while you play and have no in-game switch to turn it off. You still have these options.
- Advertising ID: open Ads in your Android or Google settings and delete your advertising ID. The game's providers then stop receiving it.
- Ad targeting on Meta: change how Meta uses your activity in Meta's ad settings.
- Stop all collection: uninstall the game.
- Delete your data: email turbopixelstudio@gmail.com with the game's name in the subject. Our games have no accounts, so we'll ask for details that help us find your device's data. We'll reply within 30 days, and tell you if we can't find it.
How long we keep it
Data is kept for up to four years at most, and for much less in most cases. These are the longest periods each provider allows.
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Crash reports in Firebase Crashlytics | 90 days, then removal starts |
| Firebase installation ID | Until deleted, then gone within 180 days |
| Google Analytics events | Up to 14 months |
| GameAnalytics event data | Up to 12 months |
| GameAnalytics aggregated data | Up to one year, and up to four years for look-back reports |
| Shortened IP addresses at GameAnalytics | Up to 30 days |
| Event data at Meta | Up to two years |
Your rights
If you're in the EEA or the UK, you can ask to see, correct, delete or move your data, or object to how we use it. Email turbopixelstudio@gmail.com to do this. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Our legal basis for analytics and crash reports is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our games.
If you're in California, you can ask what data we hold about you and ask us to delete it. We don't sell your data for money. Sending your advertising ID to Meta may count as "sharing" under California law, and you can opt out as described in Your choices.
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Each explains its safeguards in its own privacy policy.
Children
Our games are meant for players aged 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you think a child has played one of our games, email us and we'll delete what we can find.
Security and changes
Data is encrypted while it travels between our games and our providers. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise absolute security.
We'll update this page when our data use changes, and change the date at the top. Questions go to turbopixelstudio@gmail.com.
